Frequently Asked Questions

  1. Who is Corestream?
    Corestream is an organization that MSU has worked with to make www.MSUBenefitsPlus.com programs available.
  2. I'm an employee. How do I sign up?
    To sign up you must create an account. Go to the Home page, enter your employment credentials, click "Access My Benefits" and complete the form. If you need additional assistance feel free to contact customer service at msubenefitsplus@corestream.com or call 888-758-7575.
  3. Who is eligible to sign up for programs offered on the MSU Benefits Plus website?

    Regular active full-time and part-time (50-89.9%) support staff, faculty and academic staff with a continued appointment of nine months or more.

    Vision, Group Legal and Critical Illness:

    Spouse: lawful spouse or Other Eligible Individual (OEI)

    Child:

    Unmarried natural child, adopted child (including a child being placed for adoption) or stepchild of the employee or OEI:

    • from birth to age 19;
    • from age 19 to age 23 if a full-time student or meets IRS Dependent Gross Income Test and supported by the employee;
    • Includes coverage for disabled dependents over age 19
    • Children of OEI are eligible if they are members of the employee’s household and claimed as an IRS dependent by the employee or a full-time student as defined above.


    Auto and Home – Please contact MetLife and Liberty Mutual to determine which eligible family members may be insured. Please refer to the Auto and Home page for contact information.

    Long Term Care – Please contact Todd Benefit Group to determine which eligible family members may be insured. Please refer to the Long Term Care page for contact information.
  4. Can my friends and family use the site?
    Your family may only use the discount shopping site. Some products that require payroll deduction require the employee to be enrolled, however, the employee is able to elect coverage for eligible family members under certain plans such as Group Legal, Auto & Home, Critical Illness and Vision.
  5. How do I get a ZPID?
    First time site users will need to register with their ZPID. Your ZPID is provided by MSU. You may locate your ZPID on your MSU Spartan Card ID badge, or you can find the number within the EBS Portal under My Personal Information. Please capitalize the “Z” in your number. If you have trouble locating this number, feel free to contact msubenefitsplus@corestream.com or call 888-758-7575.
  6. How do I log in?

    To log in you must first create an account. If you have previously created an account, then just use your email address that you registered with and password to access the site. If you need additional assistance feel free to contact msubenefitsplus@corestream.com or call 888-758-7575.

  7. How do I change my personal information?
    If your personal information is registered on the MSU Benefits Plus site, choose "My Profile" from the My Tools menu after sign in. If you would like to change your personal information with a vendor or carrier you will need to contact that vendor or carrier directly.
  8. What is my password?
    You would have created a password when you originally created an account. If you have forgotten your password click the “Forgot Password” link and a new password will be sent to you through the email address you registered with.
  9. Who do I contact if I have a question or problem with a service or plan that I signed up for?
    Most questions regarding a service or plan should be handled by contacting the vendor directly, since MSU Benefits Plus does not sell products or fulfill orders for employees. Each vendor has a customer service email and phone number. You may also contact MSU Benefits Plus customer care for assistance if the vendor is not helpful in resolving the issue.
  10. I am having an issue accessing the Deduction History Report. Who do I contact?

    You must first log in to the MSU Benefits Plus site to access your deduction history report. Deduction History is available through the My Tools menu. If you are having any issues with the registration or login you may email msubenefitsplus@corestream.com or call MSU Benefits Plus customer care at 888-758-7575.

  11. Are the deductions for MSU Benefits Plus after-tax or pre-tax?
    All voluntary benefits deductions are after-tax.
  12. I signed up for more than one benefit that is available on the MSU Benefits Plus website. Will I see multiple deductions on my earning statement?
    No. All programs that are available on MSU Benefits Plus website will be paid by one consolidated deduction shown as Voluntary Benefits EE on your earnings statement. You will be able to see a breakdown of your deduction on the MSU Benefits Plus website. Please visit the website and click on the “My Deduction Report” link and follow the login instructions.
  13. I just signed up for a program through one of the vendors. How long will it take before I see the deduction on my earnings statement?
    Depending on the program, your deduction will begin within the next 2 pay cycles. All programs that are available on the MSU Benefits Plus website will be paid by a single consolidated deduction shown as Voluntary Benefits EE on your earnings statement.
  14. How do I receive my refund?
    If you require a refund for a product or service please contact the carrier or vendor directly to discuss details of the refund. Refunds may take between 30 to 60 days to process. See specific details for cancellation per carrier below by clicking on the carrier name or scrolling down the page.
  15. Where is my order?
    MSU Benefits Plus does not fulfill orders, sell merchandise or process credit cards. MSU Benefits Plus markets the various merchants and their products. Any problem with your order may be resolved with the vendor that the order is placed with. Each vendor has a customer service email and phone number. You may also contact MSU Benefits Plus customer care for assistance if the vendor is not helpful in resolving the issue with your order.
  16. Can I get a discount in the store or just online?
    Each merchant offers different promotions. In some cases, discounts are offered both online and in the store. The offer will specifically say whether the promotion is offered online or offline or both.
  17. Do you work with offline vendors?
    Yes. We work with offline vendors and online vendors. We help offline vendors with online communication for our clients and their employees.
  18. How do I recommend new vendors?

    To recommend new vendors please send an email to msubenefitsplus@corestream.com. If there is a specific contact or any other details that you think would be helpful please make sure to include them in the email. If you have a relationship with the vendor or employees in positions of marketing or sales with the vendor please add their name to the email as well.

  19. Can you help me find products to purchase?
    Many of our vendors offer shopping assistance and shopping comparisons that can be helpful in finding the appropriate product. In addition, many vendors have 800 numbers that you can call for shopping assistance.
  20. Problem with my order?
    MSU Benefits Plus does not fulfill orders, sell merchandise or process credit cards. MSU Benefits Plus markets the various merchants and their products. Any problem with your order may be resolved with the vendor that the order is placed with. Each vendor has a customer service email and phone number.   21. I received the wrong merchandise?
    MSU Benefits Plus does not fulfill orders, sell merchandise or process credit cards. MSU Benefits Plus markets the various merchants and their products. Any problem with your order may be resolved with the vendor that the order is placed with. Each vendor has a customer service email and phone number. You may also contact MSU Benefits Plus customer care for assistance if the vendor is not helpful in resolving the issue with your order.
  22. What is a discount code or promotion code?

    The discount or promotion code is a code that is used to identify and process the discount that you are utilizing. The discount code will assure that you are given the proper discount. Many vendors have a discount code field in the checkout that must be entered to obtain the discount. Some vendors do not have discount codes and process the discount automatically by using special links from our website which automatically calculate the discount. If you have a problem with any of the codes, please contact MSU Benefits Plus customer care at msubenefitsplus@corestream.com.

  23. When will I receive my order?
    Your order is dependent on many factors including shipping method. Some of these factors are chosen by you. If you feel that there may be a problem with your order please contact the vendor with which you placed the order.
  24. How will my order be shipped?
    Each vendor will offer varying shipping methods. Some vendors will offer multiple options that you may select from. You may view the shipping options on each vendor’s website or call the vendor’s customer service.
  25. How much does shipping cost?
    Shipping cost will often depend on weight, delivery method, and arrival timing. Each vendor will display the shipping cost during the checkout. Some vendors offer free shipping promotions from time to time. You may view the shipping options on each vendor’s website or call the vendor’s customer service.
  26. How can I exchange or return my order?
    Each vendor has their own return policy. You may view the return policy on each vendor’s website or call the vendor’s customer service.
  27. Can I ship my order to an international location?
    Each vendor has their own policies on shipping and international orders. You may view the shipping policies on each vendor’s site.
  28. How do I change my Auto and/or Home policy to be paid through payroll deduction?
    You can contact any of the Auto and Home carriers directly that are offered to you through your voluntary benefits program, and they will switch your billing to payroll deduction. Certain eligibility requirements apply for the payroll deduction option. If you have any questions about your eligibility, you may contact customer care at (888) 758-7575.
  29. How do I cancel my coverage?
    If you are a participant in a program with a carrier or vendor and would like to cancel, please refer to the cancellation process below. Please allow 30 days for the cancellation to process
  30. Cancellation process:

    ARAG (Legal):

    Employees are allowed to cancel coverage during the annual enrollment period or due to a Family Status Change*. Please contact MSU Benefits Plus customer care at 888-758-7575.

    Liberty Mutual (Home & Auto):

    To make any changes to your policies, including cancellations or changes to payment options, such as payroll, please contact Liberty Mutual directly. Please reference your policy number if available. States have different requirements based on DOI regulations. Please contact 1-800-298-8018.

    MetLife (Home & Auto):

    Cancellation policies differ by state, therefore the employee must call the MetLife call center at 1-800-GET-MET-8 for cancellation terms and processing.

    MetLife (Critical Illness):

    Employees can cancel their MetLife Critical Illness Insurance at any time by contacting MSU Benefits Plus at (888) 758-7575.

    TransAmerica (Long Term care):

    Please contact Todd Benefit Group at 1-888-310-8633 directly to cancel your coverage.

    Nationwide Pet Health Insurance:

    Policyholders may cancel a policy at any time by contacting Nationwide directly at 1-877-738-7874 or optionally, by notifying Nationwide in writing via fax at 1-714-989-0537, or mail at P.O. Box 2344, Brea, CA 92822, or online at the Policyholder Portal.

    VSP (Vision):

    Employees are allowed to cancel coverage during the annual enrollment period or due to a Family Status Change*. Please contact MSU Benefits Plus customer care at 888-758-7575.

    *Adoption, birth, loss of previous coverage, marriage, divorce, change of employment percent (FT to Half time, Half time to FT, 75% to FT, FT to 75%), Retirement, Death
